Here’s a handy tip for Onetastic users: Page-pinning!
To begin, simply customize your Quick-Access ribbon and add Onetastic’s “Pin to Favorites” to your ribbon.
This will put an new icon on your Quick Access Ribbon which allows you to save shortcuts to specific pages or sections. So if you’re like me and have quite a few different note books that you jump around between or a page you need to commonly access, somehow this is even faster than the search option!
Now no matter how deep I am into any notebook, I can quickly jump to my ‘DM Screen’ or Combat Tracker without even needing my keyboard or having a link handy.
Hello,
I’ve been following your tutorials so far and they’ve been helping my documents look a lot cleaner. Do you know if the pin function exist in Windows 10 version?
I don’t think it does. As far as I know the Windows 10 UWP app does does not support add-ins like Onetastic, so it can’t make use of its various macros.
I just installed Onetastic, and I can’t find Pin to Favorites or Pin to Desktop in the Macros tab. What am I missing?
It should be there by default (https://getonetastic.com/blog-update-for-onetastic-1-3-0#favorites)
Open the Onenote options, under “Quick Access Toolbar”. Make sure it is set to “Choose Commands from: All Commands”, then search through that list. It might originally be listed as “Pin to Desktop” rather than “Pin to Favorites”, but once you add it to the ribbon and use it, you can switch it to favorites.
